Ball Field Guidelines
All field space is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you arrive and another group is there, remember this is an open park and work out an agreeable way to share so that everyone can “play happily.” Except for Southside community group sponsored activities, the fields may not be rented to or used by any organization for any camps, scheduled team practices or other similar activities.
- The field at fire truck park is a public space maintained by the City of Southside Place.
- The field is intended for public use, not private instruction. Use of the field for profit is not permitted without express permission from the City of Southside Place.
- The field is used on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be rented or reserved.
- City and community events take precedence over general use or other events.
- Any organized event on the field, except for a city event, must be less than four hours. This includes setup and cleanup time.
- Inflatables and bounce houses are permitted if at least half of the field remains available for public use; however, they must not be on the field for longer than four hours.
- If you are using inflatables or other party / carnival attractions, the delivery and setup vehicles are NOT allowed to drive up on the grassy field area. Please ask vendor to use hand trucks and plywood for setup to protect the grassy fields. No exceptions.
- Please be courteous to others and share the space.
- Are responsible for picking up and properly disposing of all trash related to their and their guests’ activities.
- Are asked to respect the homeowners around the field. DO NOT BLOCK DRIVEWAYS. Follow posted traffic signs, as the Southside police vigorously enforce all traffic regulations. The City of Southside Place is not responsible for traffic fines.
