Our Mission and Core Values
We shall carry out the vision and mission statements, while utilizing the core values set forth by our Peace Officer Oath of Office as standards as our guiding principles.
Integrity

Functions
The police department, under the direction of the chief of police, provides the daily management functions necessary for the professional operation of the police organization. In addition, the department is responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and following up on cases in the department.
Services
The Southside Place Police Department provides routine and proactive patrol, traffic control, civil order, initial investigations, apprehension and processing of suspects, crime prevention, and answering calls for service. The department enforces federal law, state statutes, local ordinances, and specifically direct court orders while protecting the constitutional rights of all concerned. Numerous resources are utilized through effective communication to ensure that each citizen is served in a fair and equitable manner.
Investigations
In addition, the department is responsible for conducting all investigations, the execution of municipal warrants, coordinating hearings conducted by the Southside Place Municipal Court, assisting other agencies with investigations or warrant service, and conducting special investigative assignments.
