On Wednesday, August 19, 2015 the CVS Drugstore located at 3939 Bellaire Boulevard was robbed by a lone suspect at approximately 12:30 p.m.

The Southside Place Police Department investigated and after obtaining statements, video evidence, and networking with adjacent (West University Police, Houston Police) and surrounding law enforcement agencies (Pearland, Harris County Sheriff’s Office) developed sufficient information to assist in the search for the suspect. Due to the high volume of robberies committed by this suspect, law enforcement in these areas increased their surveillance and investigations significantly. The effort paid off with the arrest of a lone suspect in Houston by members of the Houston Police Department Westside Tactical Unit. The suspect was apprehended after committing another robbery, attempting to elude law enforcement and crashing his vehicle.

The suspect was arrested on Wednesday August 26, 2015 at approximately 6:00 p.m.

Suspect was identified as Nam Van Nguyen of Houston who has been charged in at least three robberies and is suspected in as many as thirty additional robberies including the CVS in our city.
