Description of Responsibilities
The city manager's office provides the daily administrative functions necessary for the professional management of the city. The city manager's office provides recommendations, options, and evaluations to the city council for their selection and direction. The city manager's office evaluates municipal services performed by each department and assures the effective and efficient delivery of municipal services. The city manager's office responds to citizen inquires and acts as a liaison between special interest groups, other governmental units, and Southside Place elected officials. In addition, the city manager serves as the tax assessor/collector for the city.
