Please join us for an open house with the city engineers and the contractor to talk one-on-one about the $8 million drainage improvement project along Edloe, Harper, and a portion of Auden. Harper reconstruction is expected to start in November. The project began in March and will conclude by May 2024. Grant monies totaling $1.5 million from HUD and administered by Harris County have been provided for this drainage system. Southside Place will be utilizing certificates of obligation also from the Texas Water Development Board. The city tax rate for 2023 will increase as a result of the new city debt for drainage improvements.
